LGBTQ+ Healing
Our LGBTQ+ Healing program provides free mental health and healing services and opportunities to QTBIPOC community members in Arizona, while uplifting queer and gender nonconforming practitioners and healers.
This program launched with Queer Insight, a full day healing event in 2023 hosted by Jemarc Axinto and Shaman Papi that offered a variety of somatic healing modalities, group discussions, and traditional limpia/spiritual cleansings by Monarca Center for Healing & Justice. The event also provided a full sponsorship for one attendee to participate in a week-long healing retreat, Queer Liberation, in Pennsylvania with all expenses paid.
We have continued with community events in 2025 including Healing through Drag with drag professors Navi Ho and Gaba Ghoul, an expressive event aimed at promoting the sacred and healing powers of drag; and Gender Diversity, A Gathering centering 2 Spirit, trans, nonbinary, and intersex current and prospective parents plus everyone who loves us, created for and by Two Spirit, transgender, nonbinary, and intersex (2STNBI) families including current and prospective parents of children and hosted by They Birth They Art. These events were funded in collaboration between the Bambi Fund, AZ AANHPI for Equity, and They Birth They Art.
Our LGBTQ+ Healing program uplifts QTBIPOC healers, mental health practitioners, and community advocates by providing funded opportunities for them to expand their work, while simultaneously hosting safe and brave healing spaces for our community members that center their lived experiences.
